#HousingForAll | Progressive cities and regions making the right to housing a reality

The lack of affordable housing is affects more than 80 million people in Europe. The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the situation, with an increasing number of people struggling to pay their rent or energy bill. However, the immediate issues reveal deeper, structural causes, rooted in profound housing inequalities that risk jeopardising the very essence of our society.

Housing is a human right that must be guaranteed to all.

For a socially just and sustainable recovery, we must ensure that every citizen benefits from decent, affordable and sustainable housing.

Progressive cities and regions have already put in place innovative solutions that can inspire further action at local level. At the same time, we need an effective European framework. Leaving no one behind means, first and foremost, leaving no one without a roof over their head.
